Weber County Post-Mormons

CHAPTER INTRODUCTION

Are you questioning the LDS Church?  Or perhaps you have already left?  Please know that you're not alone. We encourage you to come out and join us sometime. Or if you've never been LDS and would simply like to meet other people in Weber County who could tell you why you never should be LDS, you are welcome too!

Local Chapter Meetings

The plan is to meet in a downstairs classroom at the Ogden Library every 1st Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. The address is 2464 Jefferson Ave. in Ogden.

I was thinking sometime during the 3rd week of the month we could meet in a restaurant or at someone's home. This is to be a joint effort so email me your ideas and/or suggestions please.

Spring Break

Posted by SirzIMZADI on March 24, 2008

There will be no meetings in April or May.  I have just way too many family situations to deal with and I have some major changes happening with my job... sooo..... how about let's all do some spring cleaning and warm weather appreciation and anticipation instead!  Thanks for your understanding.

In the plans is a wine tasting event given by some wine connoisseurs at the end of June.

Meeting at Ogden Library

Posted by SirzIMZADI on February 22, 2008

Tuesday, March 4th, at 6:30 p.m. we will be showing "DNA vs. The Book of Mormon". There will be time for discussion afterward.

The Book of Mormon recounts the story of an Israelite family who immigrated and fully populated the American continents. The Book of Mormon teaches that these Israelites are the principal ancestors of modern-day Native Americans. Recent discoveries in DNA research currently allow scientists to test this historical claim. Does science back up The Book of Mormon?

Resign now!

Posted by SirzIMZADI on February 01, 2008

This will be fun... we are going to discuss some do's and don't of resigning from the Mormon church in the easiest way possible.

If you have already or are in the process of formally resigning, come tell us your story. I will have a couple of different resignation letters available to help those who wish to resign formally from the Mormon church.

Even if you haven't the need to resign, come anyway for some good ole' socializing because these people are just plain fun to be around!
