Please join us for lunch as the DC Chapter of Post-Mormons. Whether you are completely out, disaffected and still attending, or simply doubting, come visit with us. We are sensitive to anonymity, so if you are still "in the ward, but not of the ward" we'll keep it to ourselves.

This lunch is open to any disaffected, doubting, post, ex, or new order mormon in the DC/VA/MD or surrounding areas. If you are looking for support and camaraderie on your journey away from Mormonism, we are your bunch of folks.

Just wanted to return and report on the Washington DC Post-Mormon Lunch.

We had a really excellent time. The turnout was less than we expected, but those that did come were a great bunch of folks. It was very interesting to hear each person's story -- each one was unqiue and we had a wide range of reasons for disaffection. From discovery of church history, to a study of science, to issues with friends, family and members. Everyone was receptive and respectful of different ideas and opinions.

It was nice to hang out and talk about our church issues with people who are right there with you. It took away the feeling that you are isolated, and that you have to go through all this alone.

We are going to do this as a monthly thing. For those who missed it, please come when you can -- you won't regret it. For those who did attend, please come again! We had a blast.

We are just spinning this chapter up and are looking for people in the area who'd like to get together. Get-togethers will be frequent and consistent. We are sensitive to anonymity, so if you are still "in the ward, but not of the ward" we'll keep it to ourselves.
