Las Cruces Post-Mormons

Hello Southern New Mexico

Hello to all you post-mormon's (and acolytes) in Southern New Mexico!! (And El Paso, TX too)

I know you are out there, so please feel free to post a note.

I would like to have a meeting or gathering soon.  The High School band season's final competition at NMSU is on 31 October, so I hope to get one on the books after then.

Especially in the desert.  You are not alone.

I used to live in Las Cruces…  now I’m in Utah, though.  Hang in there.

I live in Artesia NM and about to send my resignation leter, my entire family is leaving it. Me and dh are RMs I was born in the church, 41 yrs old, four kids. Any support will be great! Our stake pres. sucks, my branch president sucks. Selfrighteousness is biggy here.

I have not made it that way yet, but google says it is not that far.

There is little more frustrating than someone who believes that every thought that pops into their head comes straight from heaven.  It would be easy to ignore if it were not for the drama, and the damage that it can cause our soul and those of our family.

I recommend you follow the instructions on http://www.mormonnomore.com .  Because they live in fantasy land, the mormons will insist on their procedural rules, but legally you are out when they get the letter.  The whole process is taking around two months, depending on how much the local leaders drag their feet.  Mr Dodge in SLC is very helpful in helping them understand their legal responsibilities.

I am sorry. It is very painful to discover everything you once believed in is all based on lies.  But it does get better.  In my case, I have found the peace and contentment mormonism promised, but could not deliver.  It is very cool.
