Bragabit. Where are you located? We are starting to have a critical mass of people in the Cedar City area. Would you like to be more involved with starting a chapter in your area? Send me an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) Bear

Since I've moved to Switzerland, I've gotten together a couple of times with the other Swiss expat exmo I know of (Wry Catcher), and just last weekend we had a great time going out to lunch with another exmo (visiting from Spanish Fork) whom we met through FLAK. If there isn't an existing chapter, now that there are two of us Wry and I could make an official chapter if it's not too tricky...

Chanson...can a call you "A broad" ??
We could use a chapter in Switzerland and I think you'd be a great one to head it up. The link will take you to a page in our Scrapbook that walks through what's involved in heading up a chapter. It's duck soup, really.
Hi guys, Im fairly new here and would like to try out a chapter meeting or event sometime.. I live in Salt lake city. I might be missing something, but is there a salt lake chapter? If you have info, please let me know.
Does anyone have information on a San Diego meet up?
I have emailed the group contact a month or two ago, however, to my knowledge no meetings have been set up. Just curious if anyone in this area would be interested in getting together, even "unofficially."
Hello everyone. I am wondering what kind of chapter there might be in Northern California. I am going to be moving there this June or July because I just accepted a job in Fairfield. Is there a chapter that serves that area? If not, is there anyone else from that area that is interested in starting a chapter there?

I am moving very close to that area around the same time too. I was wondering the same thing!
You'll love it there.....well, the weather anyway. Traffic not so much!
LOL...yeah I am really looking forward to the weather (and not the traffic...ha ha). We should look into starting a chapter there. Unless of course there is already one going.

The closest one I see is in Sacramento. Well, that is the only one I see closest to Fairfield. The others are more southern California.
Monama.. Tapir Whisperer sets up the Utah Chapters. I will send him a PM and have him get you going. Both Tapir and I talked to you at the St. George PoMo mtg. Also bee333 and Lonestar, the Sacremento Chapter is inactive, we are looking for someone to get that up and running again. I have a couple of people that are moving to the Bay Area that want to start one there as well. I believe that Fairfield would be great place to have a Chapter. (about midway between Sacremento and the Bay Area I believe) Just email me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if you are interested in being a contact person/chapter leader. We would love to put up a pin for you.

I live less then 30 miles away from Fairfield. It would be cool to start a SF/Bay Area chapter.
We have started a Solano County chapter. I will be moving there in a few months, but am the contact person for it. I believe they are also trying to start a Bay area chapter. If you would like PM me, I would love some help with getting started and getting more people involved!
J-Dubya. Contact Amber Waves at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) they cover the Colorado Springs-Denver area. If there is enough Post-Mo's for a second Chapter in the Denver area, just let me know. Bear
Does anybody have info on where and when people meet in the Portland/Vancouver area? I tried to contact the contact person for this area but they said they are too busy to be in charge anymore......is there anybody else out there?

We have registered chapters in Portland, Tacoma, Seattle, and Victoria British Columbia.
Which chapter leader did you contact and which of the above is nearest your location?
Can the Davis County group meet somewhere further south once in awhile, like in Bountiful? Layton and Ogden are getting prohibative to get to...(gas prices....and slow-downs for freeway fixes.)
We now have a chapter for the Uintah Basin in Utah and are looking for others in this area that want to have some meet ups. Contact me if your interested and please do visit the page for this chapter.

Each chapter leader is different but I don't think you need a group of postmos to start a chapter. Juneau has three postmormons in the chapter and only one of them posts on the forum. I became a chapter leader with the idea that if you start the chapter and people will come, or not. This chapter is a local contact point for postmormons. I have had several emails from people as a chapter leader. So far they have been from people that used to live here and liked that there is a chapter here now.
Hawaii has a lot more Mormons than Juneau. I think if you start a chapter, you will likely get responders.

Thanks for the insight Hiker-D... my initial excitement over starting a chapter here is to connect with other ex-mormons in Hawaii that are open and like-minded as the wonderful people that post here. Its been such a positive experience for me to read everyone's stories and points of views, it would be great to meet anyone locally face to face. I'm stoked over the possibilities!
