Billboard #8 in Gilbert, Arizona
PostMo puts up yet another billboard, this time in Gilbert, Arizona. The location is right in the heart of the Mormon community in that area, and where there are lots of Mormons there are lots of post-Mormons, which is who we are trying to reach with our advertising.

PostMormon.org is in the Dixie Sun newspaper
Here’s an excerpt from the article:
“I’ve since joined their online community, hoping that my understanding and compassion may ease the suffering of others as they leave the Mormon church,” Ellis said. “I believe Post Mormon’s greatest strength is its care and concern for people who are going through painful rejection from an organization they once respected, and the social and political ramifications they experience in their lives…Perhaps the very knowledge that [post Mormons] are not alone will ease the suffering of those leaving the church,” Ellis said.”

Billboard #7 in St. George
On Sunday, February 3rd, we officially announced our billboard in St. George, while attending the St. George chapter’s monthly meeting. The billboard went up on January 31st but we wanted to wait until the meeting to officially announce it. The day before I noticed we had a new member, by the name of “DustBowl” sign up who said they found us because of the St. George billboard. Below is a photo of the billboard.

Billboard #6 in Salt Lake City
On October 5th, one day before LDS General Conference, our second large billboard went up in Salt Lake City. This one is at a good location on I-215, positioned for northbound traffic to see. Those travelling from Salt Lake International Airport to places north of Salt Lake can’t miss it!

On behalf of the Post-Mormon community, we would like to thank Mr. Whitaker for his excellent coverage of our organization in the September 17th edition of the UVSC newspaper. While some refer to Post-Mormon.org as just another anti-Mormon website, we do not believe that it is. Our purpose is not to pull people out of the church, but to provide emotional support for those who are questioning, have voluntarily left, or are considering leaving. Yes, a quick reading of some Community Forum posts will reveal that many feel angry, hurt, and are critical of the Church. People arrive at postmormon.org at many different stages in their Post-Mormon journey, and our purpose is to allow them to anonymously discuss these feelings openly and without criticism.
