2News.TV Boise, news story about PostMormon.org

On December 18th, 2 News TV in Boise published a story about PostMormon.org

Local PostMo member, ConfusedConvert (Gina), was interviewed live and did a great job! I was interviewed over the phone. Unfortunately, they didn’t ever published the video on their site like I was told they would, and I’ve not been able to get a copy of it. Click the link to read the text version of the story.

Gina, he told me the same thing. I’m surprised he was as objective the story shows. Once again, thanks for sticking your neck out and going on TV! I’m sure it’s made a positive difference in at least a few people’s lives.

“wow” all i can say is, the people that leave the LDS church are people with Low Self Esteem, and people who dont want to follow the Lords commandments. when they break commandments and stray away from the Lord, then Satan steps in and takes them over. satan decieves them.
the LDS church is the Greatest church ever. I bear strong testimony that it is the lords only church on earth. you can tell me allday long with a gun pointed to my head that the church is wrong. “i will keep Disagreeing with you” “all i can say is, “Good Luck” and to just let you know, i will remain on this website to keep up a good fight. you will thank me someday for helping you out. you may not right now, but someday.

Mr. so-called trueservantofthelord has been banned. Apparently he(she?) hasn’t read the posting rules. The part that pertains to him is this:

“For Mormons visiting this website, know that you are welcome as long as you respect that this is our home and you are a guest in it. As a guest you are expected to conduct yourself as any guest normally would when visiting someone’s home, even if you don’t agree with some of the things you find during your visit. We find that most Mormons visiting here respect the house rules. If you are one of those who don’t, then don’t be surprised if you are shown the door.”

Hooray… if some one came over and sayd what Mr “trueservantofthelord” did.. I would have kicked him out too.

People like that are part of my reasons for leaving the church in the first place.

what an ignorant jerk.  so sad, they can’t leave us alone…:::sigh::::::

I think this “trueservantofthelord” was being sarcastic, I honestly don’t think that somebody can be that arrogant to say that people that leaves the church have self steem!

In the case he was being honest I have to tell him this:
do he bear a strong testimony? what does it mean?

perhaps that you believe everything you have been taught from the very deep of your guts, right?  hehehehe well next time try to use your brain dude.

Oh no, people can be much more arrogant than that. I’ve heard some guy say that the people who leave the church still believe, but they think the church “cramps their style.” I was told that by some guy, to my face, and he was serious.

Do not underestimate the power of hubris (or is it a desperate attempt for power?) I’ve met plenty of nice TBMs who respectful and only want to hear another opinion, but there are others who believe they’re psychics and can guess everything we do.

When I was a TBM I told another person who was fighting me over the church that I would be a Mormon till the day I died and there was no way he could make me change my mind.  We were in a pretty heated argument too!  Well, I’m out. I left that church 12 years ago!  HURRAY for ME!
