This help page is somewhat outdated and will soon be updated.
The default discussion forums editor (which we also call the Recommended Editor) is compatible with most browsers but doesn't work with some of the less popular ones. It also seems to have more problems with browsers run on Mac computers than on PC's. For instance, it is known not to work on Macs with Safari. At any rate, if your edit window doesn't look similar to the image below then your browser is one the editor doesn't like so much:

To remedy this little situation you might want to try selecting a different editor and it just so happens that we offer three choices:
- The Recommend Editor (default).
- An Alternate Editor shown below.
- A Basic Editor that looks similar to the last image below.

To select one of the other editors click here then scroll to the bottom of the page where you can select a different editor from the drop down list. A couple of things to keep in mind: You have to be logged in to make a change, and don't forget to click the Update button when you're done.
