Brass Monkey and other games?

I remember when Josephlied had a party at his home some months ago. He mentioned to bring a small amount of money to play Brass Monkey.

Does anyone know what this is? How do you play?

I have some girlfriends over 3 times a month to play poker, blackjack, etc and we are looking for new games to play.

We don't bet big...we actually play with pennies, nickels and dimes but it sure is a lot of fun and a great bonding opportunity!

I remember the thread about that party. I vividly recall asking what the hell is Brass Monkey, besides an old Beastie Boys song.

And the reply was pretty much crickets chirping.

I think it's an urban legend. People just act like there's a game called that, but it doesn't exist. Some hip hop mormon punk made it up.

General Conference drinking game:

Start with a big pitcher of mimosas or something -- those meetings are early, man! I can't get up in the morning and drink all day like in college. (What? I didn't go to YBU.)

Pick a phrase or a particular camera angle. For example, when playing Superbowl, every time there's an aerial shot of the stadium, that's a social and everyone has to drink. Every time the coach is shown, someone has to drink. Each person picks something they'll drink to...

Whenever the prophet is shown, that's a drink.
Whenever someone mentions masturbation, that should be a social.

When we did this with football, a score -- any score -- was a drink. Make the extra point and you had to do a shot. I vaguely recall this one Browns v. Oilers game... whew :puking

Yeah. I recommended using GC Bingo because they already have a bunch of funny things listed, like every time someone says "testament" or "dispensation", or tells a missionary story.
