So should the church loose its tax exempt status for its political medling?

Oh c'mon, the church isn't "meddling", it just "reminds" people of their covenants to uphold the church and its leaders... then "reminds" (or "hints") them of official (unofficial) church position on certain issues...
Yeah, I think the church should lose its tax-exampt status with some of the shit it's pulled in recent years.

If that poll was scientific it would be startling. As it is I was surprised at how many voted yes. I wonder what it would look like if it was run on the Fox News site.
I voted yes. If there was ever a populist movement that came close to removing exempt status, you would see the church go into lobby mode like a house on fire. It would be unprecedented.

Seems that "Yes" is down to only 92%... still an amazingly strong majority. But, I wonder what the respondants consider to be a "political position". Most TBMs I've talked to consider the church's actions against gay rights and aborition to be moral, not political, statements.

Yeah, it would be unprecented. Lobbyists usually choose to mimic things other than burning homes... sorry, couldn't resist, the mental image this comparison created made me chuckle :D

"Loose" means baggy, not tight. Like a teenager's pants.
"Lose" means to not have something anymore. Like a Loser.
That is all.
Now that I've corrected your usage error... I'm all for rescinding tax exempt status for all churches. It's high time they avoid paying their taxes through loopholes like all the other corrupt corporations. :duh
