In regards to the recent Ensign magazine in wich Gordon B Hinckley warns members about following the "sophistries of men", I would like to know if the following ideas qualify as some of those sophistries.

Blood Atonement.

Adam God Theory.

If they do not, then from whence did they come?
If they are revealed from God, then why are they not taught at this time?

As always the church teaches that it's okay to follow the MEN OF THE CHURCH but NOT anyone else. Only humans who are LDS leaders and claim to be profits, I mean prophets are allowed to provide sophistries.

Blood Atonement - the minute I got the REAL church meaning of this (silly me I always thought the blood atonement was in relation to CHRIST's blood!) was the minute I removed my garments to never adorn this body every again. shudder I am not sure why I relate the blood atonement to my garments. I believe it has to do with the gruesome temple ordinance signs pre 1990. I just felt by wearing the garments I was supporting blood atonement and all other aspects I find questionable.

Many a TBM will insist it is because I want to wear shorter shorts and sleeveless tops but that's not true. Do I wear shorter shorts and sleeveless tops? Yes. I don't know of anyone being turned on by the immoral display of my arm pits so I don't see what the issue is. heeeeheeee.

I am getting off topic......sorry.
