Nestled at the edge of Sunrise Mountain, the holiest of places for one of the valley's biggest religions, the Mormon Temple is where marriages take place and lives as a couple begin. But just 500 yards up the road, as the sun sets, a much different lifestyle takes shape.

The Glitter Nights Swingers Party takes place in Sunrise Manor, a 22,000-square-foot mansion in a purely residential neighborhood, operating as a business.

There's a lounge, dance floor and DJ, and of course a bar. We proceeded on a tour with our hostess, Susie, after meeting her partner Daniel.

"The swing room's in here with a massage table. The swing has a remote if you wanna lower it and raise the chair, it can do that for you if you wanna get a little kinky and crazy," explained Susie.

Frank Dixon is president of the Mormon Temple. "...we will do anything we can to support the activity that leads to them being taken out of the community. Our families are affected. They have their homes where they look for some solace and some peace and some protection from these kinds of things, and all of a sudden they appear next door."

I bet there are some people who say the same thing about Mormon Temples. Both places use the promise of sex to lure people inside only in the case of the Mormon Temple you have to wait until you die before you get to have sex with a variety of women.

I would say the promise of sex is a little closer to home. If you're Mormon, the only way to have sex is to get married, and the only right way to get married is in that temple. Sex itself has been fetishized to a point where it is an undeniable force, that will lead you all too quickly to whatever eternal companion happens to be nearest, and right up those temple steps.

I would say the promise of sex is a little closer to home. If you're Mormon, the only way to have sex is to get married, and the only right way to get married is in that temple.

And the only way to ensure that you will be able to have sex after you die and even maintain your gender, is through the covenants made in the temple. And the only way your ancestors will be able to maintain their gender and have sex for eternity is through the temple. It is one big gaudy monument to sex.
