For those who don't know, our forum has acquired a bug somewhere that's causing a few things not to work, the search function being one of them. This evening I'll be switching various functions and boxes off and on in an attempt to find the bug. So if anything strange happens, sit tight, it shouldn't be that way for more than a couple of minutes.

While trying to find the bug in the forum I came across some smilies that I thought you might like. I added some new ones:

 -- rant
:neener: -- neener neener
:lie: -- lie

and I replaced the wink one and the embarrasement one with some I thought were more expressive:

I hope you like the changes. If not then I'll be watching my back :duck: <-- Oh yeah, I forgot that one... duck!

Wait, is the :lie: one symbolizing just regular lying, or "lying for the Lord"? Cause if it's the latter, shouldn't it have an evil grin and bags of money all around it?

A simple halo would say plenty.

Speaking of lying for the lord, I came across these appalling quotes this morning:

"It is one thing to depreciate a person who exercises corporate power or even government power. It is quite another thing to criticize or depreciate a person for the performance of an office to which he or she has been called of God. It does not matter that the criticism is true." :lftl:
- Apostle Dallin H. Oaks, "Reading Church History," CES Doctrine and Covenants Symposium, Brigham Young University, 16 Aug. 1985, page 25. also see Dallin H. Oaks, "Elder Decries Criticism of LDS Leaders," quoted in The Salt Lake Tribune, Sunday August 18, 1985, p. 2B

"A different principle applies in our Church, where the selection of leaders is based on revelation, subject to the sustaining vote of the membership. In our system of Church government, evil speaking and criticism of leaders by members is always negative. Whether the criticism is true or not, as Elder George F. Richards explained, it tends to impair the leaders’ influence and usefulness, thus working against the Lord and his cause." :lftl:
- Apostle Dallin H. Oaks, “Criticism,” Ensign, Feb. 1987, page 68

No wonder he was called to be an apostle! I bet he is called to be in the first presidency when Hinckley dies. Talk about cult worship. The leaders can do no wrong! and if they do we must act like they didn't. All hail the emperor's new clothes!

Umm...can I just say that this little guy ---> makes me laugh right out loud? He's hysterical!

And this one --->:lftl: is fabulous, too! Very clever!

But I can see myself using the "rant" guy quite a bit. I'm considering making him my signature...
