Note worthy article about a lecture given by Margaret Toscano. I've never heard of her but found some of her comments interesting. Of course, nothing we didn't already know.

Thanks for the link. I would hjave liked to have attended the conference. I wonder if Tuscano was the only "dissenting" voice.

I, too, appreciate the link. I have read her stuff from time to time. Her husband, Paul, an attorney in Salt Lake, was one of the "September Six" who was ex'd back in '93(?) I believe. At least that is my recollection. :)

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I knew her name was familiar but didn't recall hearing anything about her, etc. But I do remember her hubby's name. (I'm getting old - I can't retain chit anymore, and Paul I don't mean that literally! heeeheee)

Mamajama, who are the September 6?? Being out in the sticks here, I have never heard of them, and I think I would have just been on the end of my activity in the church in about 93.

I have tried to keep up, so know about some of the authors who have been disfellowshiped for writing about LDS history - Michael Quinn is one I remember. (Not sure if he was ex'd or dis'd??)

Could you list who they are???

Would much appreciate it...

We did hear about a couple of LDS women who were also ex'd for opinions about priesthood, but were not told of specifics...

Thanks
Mary

I am going to start a new thread regarding the September 6 topic. Good question, Mary!
