Dawkins, you and your atheist friends cannot win. America WILL become a Christian Republic even if we have to write a whole new constitution. Millions of us are dedicated to this righteous cause. We will suceed. And then we will invade godless countries like "Great" Britain and kill all of your heathens. First we need to take care of things at home and in the Middle East but we will get around to Europe. You Godless freaks will die but then you will roast in hell for infinite time. Goodbye you loser.

Feel the luuuuuuuurrvvvvvveeeeeeeee!

The Love of Christ clearly runneth over in the hearts of these lucid, articulate and well-read souls. They illustrate Dawkin's point so well.

Religion attracts the fearful, ignorant and hateful, and keeps topping them up, by reinforcing their perspective.

http://richarddawkins.net/theUglySeveral years ago, when I was working my way through the issues I has with Mormonism, and then with Christianity, I was having a discussion online in a Christian forum about Isaiah chapter 53, which from a Christian perspective is a chapter about Jesus. I was pointing out how the context of the chapter and of surrounding chapters shows that 53 isn't at all about Jesus. Two or three Christians got so angry that they cussed a blue streak and were chiding me about how I would someday be burnining in hell. I asked them if this was the way Christians usually behave and pointed out how their attitudes weren't very Christian. A couple of them said that they can be this way all they want because they're saved and are therefore automatically forgiven. I on the other hand had better watch myself. :duhOf course not all Christian's act that way. Later, one guy privately apologized for his fellow forum member's rude behaviour. But I think the fact that icons like Ann Coulter (with her vile, childish invective form of writing) are so popular among Christians in general (not all of them of course) says something about the overall cross section of Christiandom and how Christianity tends to turn many people into anything but Christian.

As I have loved you, love one another.
