Came across this gem..........I believe it is from an old New Era Poster.

President Gordon B. Hinckley counsels, “Do not become a weak link in the chain of your generations.” Your faithfulness to the gospel will strengthen your family. (See Ensign, Nov. 1999, 30.)

Okay...so....right....he obviously means 'Don't YOU leave the church', so.....it's okay to commit adultery, abuse and neglect your children, ....but don't leave the church.
Grief, talk about a scewed sense of priorities. I know he means well (well I am not so much of a cynic that I think he doesn't mean well) but we should be putting love at the centre of our lives (since God is supposed to represent love) not the brick building of the church with everything that goes with it.
