I bear my testimony that the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy is true. That the meaning of Life the Universe and Everything is in fact 42. That Doug Adams is a true prophet. That this earth was built by Magratheans and that you should always carry a towel.

In the name of Humma Kavula
Achoo :D

I just wanted to bear my testimony that everything that was just said is true. I know it beyond a shadow of a doubt. In the name of Jebus, Amen.

I'd like to bear my testimony, that I know The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is true. ... I've only read it once, but as I look back in my life, I was truly enlightened during that time. The Spirit of Douglas Adams spoke so loudly within my heart! It was almost as if my soul was on fire! My husband felt it too, since we read the book together, and after wiping the tears of sweet sweet joy from our eyes, we realized that 42 was a divine principle sent forth from God, and Zaphod Beeblebrox (the President of the Universe).

I have since lost my copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide, so we have not been able to revisit the joy and warmth, but we hope to remedy this soon.

But we continue to strive to practice 42 in our lives.

In the name of Ford Prefect,
Amen.

Speaking of Hitchhiker's, I saw the movie Saturday. It was OK. Nothing really spectacular. They adhered far too slavishly to the book (except for the parts where they veered off on completely absurd plot tangents).

But one of the really brilliant moments was when the party encounters the thought swatters. Yep, they're standing out in the middle of the desert and every time one of them has a thought, a metal fly swatter pops up out of the sand and whacks them on the head.

"Just like church!" I said to myself.

I found the movie quite amusing. :D Much better than I had expected going in and based on a review I had read. I think they hit the right balance of silliness while not completely loosing the flavor of the books. I thought the scene with Humma Kavula's church was great! They were awaiting the return of the holy hankerchief to wipe them clean.

Kreleia,

Back off! I'm a married man! :D

Seriously though, we should go, if you're up for it. I haven't ever read the book. At least I won't be disappointed by comparing the two; I'll be able to just take it all in and be entertained!!
